Editorial and medical review standards

Who we are

Men's Health Insider publishes guides on erectile dysfunction and related men's health topics. The site is published in partnership with Vea Health, a telehealth company whose products, including Quattro, appear in some of our comparisons. We disclose that relationship at the bottom of every page and label any page that contains sponsored content.

Medical review

Every guide is reviewed for medical accuracy by a licensed clinician before it is published, and again whenever it is materially changed. The reviewer's name, credentials and the review date appear at the top of each guide. Reviewers check that claims match the cited sources, that safety information is complete, and that nothing promises an individual outcome.

How we source

• Drug facts (onset, duration, food effects, interactions, side effects) come from FDA-approved prescribing information, published on DailyMed and accessdata.fda.gov.
• Clinical recommendations come from the American Urological Association guideline on erectile dysfunction.
• Research findings come from peer-reviewed studies, linked to their PubMed record.
• Background explanations may cite Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, MedlinePlus or the NIH.

Every factual medical claim carries a numbered footnote to its source. If we cannot source a claim, we do not make it.

Comparing providers

Prices, formats, consult processes and guarantees are taken from each provider's own website and dated. We describe competitors' guarantees and refund policies where they exist. Prices in telehealth change frequently; if you see something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Compounded medications

Some products we cover, including Quattro, are compounded: prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy for an individual patient under a prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. We say this wherever a compounded product appears.

What we will not do

• Invent authors, reviewers, testimonials, ratings or comment counts.
• Promise that a treatment will work for you.
• Describe a compounded product as FDA-approved.
• Present sponsored content without labeling it.
